“Nice beer and we stayed on the campsite at the back. Tidal river so we kayak up and then come back once the tide had turned. We done just under 4 miles to the village by water.went to pub and then rowed back.great place to visit”

“We stayed at the attached campsite for three nights. The second day was beautiful and sunny so we went to the pub. We had a pint of local beer each and a bowl of possibly the best chips we've ever had. Service was friendly and quick. The pub is at an amazing location. We sat and watched the chain ferry for hours. Bliss.”

“We came to this pub on the first night of our boat tour of the Norfolk canals, and I must say that the choice was a good one. Starting from the mooring, there really is plenty of room (a bit muddy the way from the mooring to the pub, but no big deal). You can also get there from the road or by the beautiful chain ferry. The atmosphere in the pub is really unique and takes you back in time (the pub dates back to 1874). A great thing is that they don't have wifi in the pub (pretend it's 1995). We had two fish and chips, and again the writing was right. The fish is very big, the chips very tasty. To drink an Amber beer and some white wine. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back.”

“We only stayed one night here. Not because it was awful, but we were testing whether we could camp successfully with our puppy (the answer is, not really, but that's not the campsites fault!). It's a really lovely small site. Lots of space between pitches. The showers and loos were very clean. The pub was closed, so I can't comment on that. The only negative was the noise at night. It's right next to the river and there seemed to be quite a lot of activity late into the night. Again, not the sites fault but something to be aware of, so bring earplugs if you're in a tent and are not a deep sleeper. A thoroughly recommended site though.”
